How to do it…………. Home-Made Mojito

Written By Unknown on Friday, December 23, 2011 | Friday, December 23, 2011

So….. I was told I have been posting stuff about healthy living(didn’t really notice!) so now we are going to delve into the world of “junk food”. But before I get there, as a favor to another friend of mine, I want to share my home made mojito recipe.

You know how annoying it is when you go to a restaurant and ask for mojito and you are like why should I pay 900ft(the currency we use here) for this when it looks pretty simple….. well it is pretty simple to make and this recipe….depending on how often you make/drink it….. should last you for about a week or at least until the mint plant dies off.

we would need a couple of things

  • Fresh Mint plant ( Called Menta in hungarian and its about 300-400ft)
  • Lime ( 1 lime per glass so buy as many as u want)
  • Syrup
  • Carbonated water
  • Ice

but first things first…. you need to make the syrup

you’ll need 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar

heat up the water and stir in the sugar till it dissolves then take it off the heat and let it cool down

Back to the mojito (Mind you this is a recipe for Virgin-Mojito!!!)

  • take your lime and cut into 4 wedges
  • get a shaker or a cup that has a cover and put the lime in it
  • add 2 Tbsps of syrup
  • use a wooden spoon to squeeze some juice out of the lime
  • cut out 3-5 mint leaves depending on its size and add it to the mixture
  • add 2 cubes of ice and cover the cup/shaker
  • now shake the mixture as though ur life depends on it
  • pour this into a glass cup and add more ice and carbonated water
  • if its not sweet enough you can tweak it wit the syrup and carbonated water

Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!
